Children with Specific Learning Difficulties, in spite of their normal mental capability, encounter difficulties in vocabulary learning, mathematics, writing, speaking or motor coordination. Such problems emerged in kindergartens.
Sponsored by the Community Chest, a support programme for children with specific learning difficulties was organised by Heep Hong Society during 2011 and 2014. About 400 primary students benefited from the programme. Further supported by the Community Chest, the programme will be extended to 2016 to continually offer timely professional training to those children in primary school for enhancement of their learning abilities and social skills. Professional consultation and workshops will also be provided to parents of those children to help tackle the difficulties facing their children.We cordially invite all parents and teachers to join the support programme.
