Heep Hong Society was awarded the Distinguished Family-Friendly Employer Award in the 2013/14 Family-Friendly Employers Award Scheme organised by the Family Council for its efforts in promoting work-life balance among employees and adoption of family-friendly policies.
Of the 1814 companies and organisations submitted to the Scheme, only 91 were awarded the Distinguished Family-Friendly Employer Award. Heep Hong Society was one of the 20 out of 140 non-governmental organisations which claimed the honour.
The Society has been providing family-focused services to the public, and it adopts a similar approach in its employment policies. To help employees achieve work-life balance, practices like paternity leave, marriage leave and birthday leave are implemented. Flexible work arrangements have been adopted so that employees can advance their career without compromising family responsibilities.
In future, the Society will continue to work with its employees to maintain a family-friendly workplace.
