Inauguration Ceremony of the 5th Committee of Heep Hong Parents' Association Completed Successfully

The 5th Committee Inauguration Ceremony of Heep Hong’s 3000-strong Parents’ Association cum Seminar on Ways to Motivate Children to Learn was held successfully on 7 January 2010, in which there was an attendance of nearly 300. The Inauguration Ceremony was officiated by Mrs Cecilia Yuen, Assistant Director (Rehabilitation & Medical Social Services) of the Social Welfare Department, and witnessed by Mr Godwin Lai, Principle Inspector (Special Education Support Section) of the Education Bureau and representatives from other parents’ associations. 

After a review of the work and achievements of the Parents’ Association by its Ex-Chairman, Mrs Yuen, in her speech, gave the Parents’ Association recognition for its performance and contribution, and pledged to have regular meetings with the Parents’ Association to get hold of parents’ aspirations. Apart from his praises for the contribution of the Parent’s Association, Mr Lai also remarked that the Education Bureau would be pleased to have further exchanges with the Parents’ Association. Mr Andy Lau, the newly appointed Chairman, pledged to reflect parents’ opinions to the authorities, work closely with parents of all centres, and follow up with rehabilitation policies in pursuit of the well-being of Heep Hong’s children and parents.

The 5th Committee of Heep Hong's Parents' Association received the letter of appointment from Mrs Yuen, Assistant Director of the Social Welfare Department.
